I am using the WG111v2, too and it works from me. Set it to DHCP and use the realtek utility to connect to your wireless network. You don't need to specify anything in the System Preferences. what i should be putting in the Search Domains field? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've tried both unsecured and WEP security settings on my router (D-Link DI-614+) but with the same results.ĭoes anyone know where i might be going wrong? e.g. I went back into the Realtek app and saw that my network was showing up under Available Networks, but when i click Connect it takes me back to the first tab but still says "Disconnected".
I assigned it an IP address (192.168.0.15) but wasn't sure about the DNS Server or Search Domains fields - i ran ipconfig on my XP machine and copied the DNS Server (192.168.0.1) from that, but i couldn't find any Search Domains field, so left that blank. I opened up Network in System Preferences, and saw a new "Ethernet 2" connection in the left-hand panel. I installed the RTL8187L drivers as described in this thread, and followed the instructions posted by Miah586 on page 3. Can anyone help me get my WG111 v2 working on my iDeneb 10.5.5 install?
